Meet and greet: Each participant will be given a pretest to help
discover what they know about the ADA laws pertaining to the disabled and
there service animals. After taking the pretest each participant will be
given a booklet of commonly asked questions about service animals from the
ADA Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and the National
Association of Attorneys General.
5:Minutes
Movie and questions: The life of a service animal and its disabled partner.
This is a short movie of how life is from the view of the disabled person
with a service animal.
20:Minutes
The Laws of the United States: Ms. Songer will began to guide the group
through the laws of the United States that were developed by the ADA and the
Supreme Court. She will look at the booklets and discuss them. This workshop
will only give your group a short but precise look at what the ADA laws are.
